Faith Zone

“When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” “Yes, Lord,” they replied. Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you”; and their sight was restored…” (Matthew 9:28-30a NIV)

In the last few weeks, I have been confronted with a series of situations in my personal life and in the lives of some family members that have made me desire faith at a new level. When I pray, I need to believe like the blind men that Jesus is able to do whatever I have asked Him for. I need to hear from Jesus: “According to your faith let it be done to you.” and for a miraculous breakthrough to occur.

So I have been challenging myself. One thing that I have done is declared the spaces I occupy as a Faith Zone. One space is my office. In my office, the words spoken are words filled with faith. The songs played on my iPad are songs of faith. I want the atmosphere in my office to be an atmosphere of faith.

So in the last two weeks, when people have come to my office, I have been telling them that they are entering the Faith Zone. Some look at me with a startled look. Some ask me questions about what it means. Some sit down and want talk about their own faith journey. Some want to pray about a situation in their own life. Some are just plain happy and say, “I knew there was something going on in here!” Everybody leaves encouraged.

So far, I feel faith rising in my own heart. Some of those situations I have been praying about have been favorably resolved. Some are still lingering, but I am believing that resolution is coming in ways that are ultimately good and better than what I imagined.

How about you? Do you need to declare a Faith Zone in your life?
